Resonance fatigue testing on high-strength self-compacting concrete

Concrete structures are increasingly affected by fatigue damage, while new slender building with greater mechanical requirements make it necessary to deepen knowledge of their behaviour under loading. In this research, high-strength plain concrete was studied two different frequencies cyclic compressive stress. Wöhler curves were obtained in ways, on the one hand, applying a uniform frequency 10 Hz and, other specimen resonance frequency. The results show types behaviour. A reduction life observed those concretes tested at very high When loads applied frequency, they did not seem modify breaking mechanisms subjected fatigue.
